Some new paintings

Hello everyone! You can expect to see some new projects in the coming months as our wedding season is winding down. Here are a couple of new painting projects that we are working on. I hope that you like them!

If you are unclear as to what these are I am happy to explain. Some photographers believe that these are simply filters or actions that are available in Photoshop.  Nothing could be further from the truth. These pieces are completely hand painted using a digital program called Painter by Corel. We begin by using an image in which we would like to transform and then we determine what technique we would like to create. We can use an oil technique, or a pastel chalk or even a watercolor process. Each effect has a distinctively different look and feel. When complete, we then decide as to what medium is best for the final painting. Real artists canvas, French watercolor paper or traditional photographic paper. When finished and framed, there is nothing like it anywhere.

Mellisa & Gerry

Hello everyone, as you can see by our lack of recent posts, our wedding season is winding down a bit. Not to worry, we still have a few more before the end of the year to share with all of you. We sincerely appreciate all of the e-mails and comments that we have received regarding our work and all we can say is we have so much more for you real soon.  We had so much fun with both of these two this past Saturday beginning at Mellisa’s home in Elk Grove and then we had a beautiful traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cathedral in Downtown and finally the night was capped off at the beautiful Hyatt hotel just around the corner. Lots of images to share so enjoy!

Not that she needed much but Melissa’s beautiful makeup was artistically applied by Cynthia of Eye for Detail Artistry
