Happy 4th of July!

Today is an absolutely beautiful day here in Northern California and I am feeling especially patriotic as we celebrate our nation’s birthday. As we took our dog Maggie around the neighborhood for her morning walk, we saw many of our neighbors out making preparations for the days festivities. There were many friends placing American flags around their lawns and homes, tables being set up with the traditional Red, White and Blue tablecloths and children playing catch and riding their bicycles with their friends. And of course what was driving me crazy was all of the delicious barbecue that i could smell everywhere. it just helps to remind me that we live in the most wonderful country in the world. Never do I want to take my freedom for granted and as we celebrate our national holiday, I hope that we all can take a moment to think about all of the others that do not have the same fortune that we do. God Bless America!

The Red Horse Barn

Without a doubt, The Newcastle Wedding Gardens and Georgia & Stephen Barron are my absolute favorite venue and people to work with. If you have not yet secured your venue, please do yourself a favor and check out this facility. You will fall in love the moment you meet Georgia and see her beautiful place. Last night, she asked if I would not mind taking some pictures of the reception room as Cathy Brooks from Visual Impact Designs provided the floral arraignments and the room was simply stunning. Evan Selby from Prestige Events provided the catering and decor and did an awesome job as usual. My favorite color is blue and I was like a kid in a candy store! Check out just some of the cool shots I was able to get.

Introducing Angie Zimmerman of Heavenly Flowers & Events

I decided to follow my dream and opened a flower shop in 1991. I knew that I loved flowers and also knew that I wanted to own my own business. My shop was located in the Bay Area and was sold in 2000 so that I could join my husband in El Dorado Hills, California. I now own and run Heavenly Flowers & Events catering to weddings, parties and special events only.I love flowers and particularly love doing wedding flowers. Please look at some pictures on our website to get an idea of what you can expect from Heavenly Flowers & Events.

Then, call (916) 941-1171 to schedule your free consultation appointment. Appointments typically last two hours. Plan to bring fabric swatches and any pictures you’ve seen representing what you think you like in terms of floral choices.

Heavenly Flowers & Events is set up to service the greater Sacramento area. However, under the right circumstances, we will travel with you to your wedding site and prepare your flowers there for you.

We buy our flowers directly from the growers and most often have the flowers delivered from the San Francisco Flower Market, one of the best in the world!

Comfrey & Norman

Here are the images from our Sunday triple header out at the beautiful Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove. This was our first time out there and it sure did not disappoint. It is a magnificent facility in every way. Enjoy the images below! The flowers are courtesy of Sharon Renzo of Weddings by Design of Elk Grove.

Kristen & Chris

Here was Saturday’s wedding at the Radisson hotel in Sacramento. Not as hot as Friday and a cool breeze across the beautiful lake in the background. These two are some of the nicest people I know and their family was simply the best! I feel sorry for Kristen’s dad as he has one daughter more beautiful than the next!

Her dress was simply beautiful!

I just love all of the little pieces of makeup that the artists use to transform our brides. But, I don’t think that Kristen needed much!

See what I mean?

Her bouquet was lovely,

Cool and collected throughout the day!

A couple of moments during the ceremony

Just another stunning portrait of Kristen.

I just love this image of the two of them with the fountain in the background.
